Less is often more.

And here is an outfit to prove it – a simple and effortless chic in a summer combination.

An outfit, consisting of loose shorts and a simple T-shirt with a print of a gringe heart.

Put together by the important staples in your summer closet - tees and shorts. Relaxed and comfy, it embodies the vacation nonchalance like nothing else.

After the floaty dresses, this is another classic hot weather duo that we will play around with for a while – while we can still play in the sun, that is.

You can choose variations in colors, going for white tee with a blurred heart print, even better for a blazing hot day.

One way to dress up the outfit is to combine it with an extravagant pair of shoes. Open toe high platform wedges with a smooth surface and ripple sole sharpen the look. The slightly coarse look of the platforms contrasts nicely with the graceful line of the legs, while the feminine and sleek shape of the shoe adds a layer of elegance and sophistication.

If you go for sneakers, you will accentuate the girly vibe of the outfit. Fit and ready to walk all day ;-).

Casual and confident, light and comfortable, it is just the thing to go for when on vacation ….or when you feel like it is just around the corner.

Long hot days….finally. After the rain flood and the mud and the chill mornings, for a few days now I have been waking up to blue skies and rays in my eyes. Time to let the summer fashion siren out.

So here is the outfit to celebrate the hot weather – a unique combination of a floaty white shirt and fantastic pair of sandals.

The shirt embodies the wind with the loose shape and drapes, creating a feeling of coolness and freedom. The boho feel is exactly what I am after, as it speaks of lazy afternoons in the sun, romantic walks by the sea and summer excitement.

I have decided to wear the shirt over black shorts so that my only slightly tanned legs will enjoy the sunrays. The shorts are dwarfed by the size of the shirt which in turn makes the legs visually longer and thinner.

And now the exclamation mark of the outfit – the sandals, which are killer sexy and absolutely unforgettable. Not for shy ones, this pair. The soft black genuine leather mesh encasing, which smoothly encompasses the leg, held by the leather buckled stripes, makes the legs look exquisite and even more feminine and this is accentuated by the open heel and almost naked foot.

A final touch: a statement necklace – a black macramé intrinsic mesh with extra-long wispy strings, reaching as long as the knees. The leather material of the accessory compliments the leather encasing of the sandals.

Stylish, sharp and cool. 

I am in the mood for something controversial and unusual today. I want to look sharp and breathtaking. I want to impress.

The reason – I am going to my old class reunion.

I haven’t seen half of my classmates in over 10 years – it is exciting to see what they are up to.

And you know, there is special set of guns you take out when you are meeting people form your past, especially the people you grew up with. Today I want to look original, successful and uncompromising as hell.

Oh, and sexy too. Some old flames are bound to make an appearance (wink).

So here is my choice for today. The outfit consists of a sleeveless light knit tunic with a turtle neck collar in gentle brown color and tight black leggings.

The tunic is long, almost a dress size, with slits that start as high as the waist. The contrast between the naked arms and the knit material is very seductive, while also emphasizing the bust in a wonderful way. This one is so special that it is a statement in itself.

The leggings are equipped with a shiny leather front and their best feature is that they shape the leg exquisitely.

Combined with high platform open toe wedges, the outfit makes me feel cocky and sure of myself. Grad the roll purse and go.

 It also happens that this combination is very suitable for the shaky and totally unpredictable weather these days. 

The knit tunic looks great both with tight leggings or with extravagant shorts.

So I am off to enjoy the reunion while looking my best.

Color me…black

No one would argue, that wearing black is cool. It is the coolest color there is.

It is slimming, and goes with everything. And in the right design and with the right accessories it is far from morbid or boring -  on the contrary, it is stylish and sharp.

Of course, if morbid is your thing, it is really easy to pull off in black.

But dark and tragic is not the look I am after today. I want a look that is totally ravishing and noticeable.

Everyone tends to explode in color in the summer – so I want to stand out.

And here it is - an extravagant killer-line dress which states my love for black with an intriguing print.

Sleek, simple but boasting a daring bare back and just as bold slit above the back of the knee, it is begging for an occasion to impress. Both classic and wildly extravagant, it is also a spot-on choice for a party of absolutely any kind. The material glides past the waistline, accentuating the gracefulness of the body and the sheath shape adds a bit to the height.

Add a pair of caged design fisherman sandals to finish off the black symphony. They are a fitting accessory for this outfit, but what you should also note is that this pair is an example of extremely comfortable footwear. If dancing all night long is on the agenda, it will be possible with this pair. The snug fit for the foot and the wide strap support for the ankle make them an irreplaceable party buddy. 

      

So how to go about choosing a dress for a friend’s wedding?

Weddings usually are formal occasions and they are great opportunity to show off some of your best parts – both from your wardrobe and from your body.

The wedding will be in the heist of summer so I am betting on good weather and looking for a light and revealing slip-on thing. I am not into elaborate and over frilled dresses, give me easy chic any time.

And here is my choice – a gentle and feminine little dress in bright red.

I am in love with the bare shoulders and the original wide diagonal strap, which continues along the front as an overlapping piece. The dress resembles slightly an empire waist dress, but without a clearly defined a waist line and with a sexy daring length.

Which gives me the opportunity to show off my legs and my shoes. I am going for black high platform wedges - just the shoes to rock this dress. They are seductive and give a special edge to the outfit, making it quite a bit more original in comparison with the classic simple high heels.

Actually the first dress of this model I tried, almost ironically, was in white. It was so ethereal and totally suitable for a hot summer day. And I wanted it so much that I decided to buy both.

Understandably, I cannot wear the white one to the wedding of my friend - it will be wildly inappropriate. But summer is coming and I will have plenty of other opportunities to show it off, especially together with a stunning pair of white wedges.

So bottom line – a successful day of shopping, I am going home not with one, but with two fantastic dresses.
