Casual outfit for a relaxed and nonchalant day.

But I want to have one item that makes me stand out – so beside the easy to pull on jeans I am going for a T-shirt, that will turn heads.

I call this one “An angle in disguise”. A simple T-shirt with wings at the shoulder blades pattern. The white is cool by default, and the combination with light blue jeans is absolute classic.

My boyfriend was joking that I might wear this one when he takes me to meet his parents. Who knows, I just might.

It is a day when I really feel like flying away. It is warm and the air is full of promise of summer and adventure. The summer unfolds before me like expanse of blue water and I want to run towards it, breathless and ecstatic.

Today I am going out on a casual date with my new beau, but I have a secret agenda – I want to discuss the summer plans with him. I know it is early, speaking relationshipwise, but I feel like we are ready for a short vacation somewhere by a beach. Once I have the idea in my head, it is really hard to shake off.

Hence I chose the cute outfit – I know he finds me irresistible like this.

Of course, right away I start fantasizing about all the nice outfits I could wear at such a vacation. All the draped tunics and tops, all the variety of romantic combinations, oh, be still my heart. 

And ta-da! My favorite season is finally here.

 It’s the season of the dresses. Maxi, loose and boho – my type of dress.

What I love most about the loose summer dresses is that it takes about 3 seconds to get dressed – perfect!

Some days I can feel quite lazy and not in the mood to spend too much time combining pieces and brooding over my appearance.  Hence I adore the effortless chic I get when slip into a loose sun dress.

And the dress I have in mind here is simply the epitome of casual elegance.

Sleeveless maxi dress in bold military pattern, which flares gradually from the shoulders down. It features two layers, that add volume and feeling of space to the lower part.

Just watch the way it unfolds behind as you walk.

An advice that I often hear from fashion experts is that if you find something that fits you in a great way or that you really, really like and if it tends to be a staple in your wardrobe, then you should get two of them. Well, isn’t it more interesting when they are in different colors?

So it is lucky that this type of dress is available both in the original green classic military and the wonderful cheerful pink. It is like a mood switch.

And I have the best sandals to go with this dress – leather fisherman sandals with wide straps and high ankle piece. They look a tad crude and heavy, which in turn makes the foot look small and sexy, they also compliment the military pattern of the dress in the best possible way. 

Jeans – the staple in anyone’s wardrobe. How to make jeans more interesting and extravagant? Obviously, you go for an original top. And here I have a total winner. An asymmetric tunic, shorter from the front, longer from the back, with abundance of material and drapes.

I love the combination with the jeans because the contrast between the tight trousers and the gentle loose flare of the top is unexpectedly flattering for the body. The tunic is very feminine, in gentle coffee-with –crème color. Which gives me opportunity to match it with the white platform silver shoes.

These shoes are the embodiment of comfort and extravagance at the same time. They are elegant, featuring a gentle shine, and I can literally walk miles in them.

A cardigan is a must in these days of fickle and unpredictable weather, so with this outfit I like this one – with a simple, clean line in contrasting dark color. It is casual but quite fitting. The length corresponds to the length of the tunic from the back, making a perfect combination.

And this outfit is really suitable for my errands today - which include a lot of running around and … shopping. It is great to pick clothes that are easy to peel off, when you are trying new outfits.

I am invited to a wedding and I have to pick a dress. I haven’t decided on a color or a model, which means a lot of trying. A strange thing I have noticed is that when I want to buy a dress, it works best if I am wearing jeans. Somehow putting on the jeans after I have tried a dress serves as a palate cleanser, so I can appreciate the next model.

Finally warm days in a row, I can enjoy the sun in a sexy and comfortable jumpsuit.

An exquisite variation of the little black dress, it is fitting and unexpected. Short pants above the knees and short sleeves. It is the embodiment of summer in a garment. When I wear it, I feel light and carefree.

 I like to play with the colors, so I have several, one in blue, another one in red and I love changing them throughout the day. Today I am starting with the blue one. I have the perfect shoes for it - color print sneakers with white platform. The lovely combination of colors brings a smile to my eyes. And they are unbelievably comfortable

So what is the plan for the day? A city walks with a dog. No, seriously, I am walking a dog. Remember my date from last week? It went remarkably well. We talked for hours and then went to see a movie, which we both loved and then …well, I stayed at his place.  And we have been on ever since. So today we are acting like a family, and I am in charge of the dog. It is huge and very wooly. I am not big fan of dogs, so I am glad that this one is not his permanently, he is just taking care of it for a friend who is abroad for a couple of months. But it is friendly creature so I like hanging around it for now.

And after we have taken care of the dog, it is time for just the two of us. I use the opportunity to change in the red jumpsuit. I have the excuse that the dog has left some hairs on me. I don’t want him to think that I am too vain. Of course, new shoes are better. The beige ankle wedges go fantastically with the red jumpsuit. They have this exquisite feature -the ankle pieces open from the front and make the leg look so gentle and sexy. I look hot and provoking and quite casual still. The right outfit for a date with a special someone.

This is how I feel today. I am dreamy and the weather is fantastic. On a day like this I have the feeling that nothing can go wrong. I am walking slowly and soaking the sun, feeling mellow and quite happy.

I know you want to know where I am heading. I have a date! Yes, I do. Remember last time, I was going to the gym? Hoping to run into my neighborhood crush, while working out with the girls?

Well, he wasn’t there. But unexpectedly, it turned out that my musical crush, the one with the band and the park, he likes going there. We started chatting immediately. After his birthday I haven’t seen him. He liked the book I gave him and we had good time at the party, but there were too many people and I left kind of early because I had to work the next day. Besides I didn’t want to look desperate and hanging on. It was several days ago and I hadn’t heard from him, but since everything was kind of casual between us and I know I give off a-very-busy-girl vibes, I haven’t expected much.

So it was great running into each other like this. And this time we made an appointment for the weekend, just the two of us. The great thing is that the weather is on my side today.

My leisure day outfit choice for today is a white tank top with a big feather detail on front and dark drop crotch pants. It is casual and carefree, yet the combination of the feather and the pants somehow has a touch of gentle elegance.

I went for the comfy white platform sneakers again, because I intend to walk a lot in the sun today. As a last minute thought I added the large leather bracelet, which covers way above the wrist. Just a hint at my wilder side and a nod to his occupation.

I spent some time wondering what to choose for today – I didn’t want to look like was trying too hard. I played with the large skirt-pants idea for a while, but then decided to keep them for a later date, when I want to look more feminine and gentle. Somehow I had the intuitive feeling that I should bet on the extravagant sporty look today.

I am a bit early, so I will have a coffee. Will keep you posted.

I am going to let you in on a secret – when I am at my worst, I put an extra effort in my outfit. Exactly when things are not looking up, I decided to use my clothes as armor. And you have to see me today. I am a warrior in red. What is the reason you might ask?

Well, I couldn’t sleep well. I am really tired right now. I worked till late on this presentation for new clients and I am really nervous this morning. I should be prepared as hell, but it is a really important assignment and I can’t afford to make mistakes. I have to impress. It is for a new and very radical client. We are meeting later today, but I have to do some shopping research beforehand. So I am at the mall again, but this time there is no time for window shopping, I have to gather information for the competition brands. I am sure that if I invest enough time in the research, it will pay off. It always does.

So despite the shitty way I feel, I went for the big guns. I am wearing a bright red asymmetrical dress, which flares above the knees.It is short sleeved, which is great for a business occasion, especially in unexpectedly hot day like today and the color screams for attention and hopefully, inspires confidence. I combined it with the killing sexy wedges with open toes. They have a pattern that elongates the legs and makes them look so seductive. And they match uniquely with the incredible accessory – the leather bracelet that covers most of my arm from the wrist up and the oversize necklace with rose pattern.

I need to calm down. So I call my friend for a quick chat. I want her to see my great outfit today, so we make plans to meet later for coffee. I am looking forward to the moment when the workday will be over and I can relax and chat nonchalantly about it. 

I feel much better after catching a glimpse of my reflection in a shop window. I am stunning! No wonder I feel the stares of so many people.

So I will act accordingly.
