Today’s agenda: sport.

Last time I got together with the girls we decided to go for group sport.

So this morning I am on my way to the gym. Since it happens to be in my neighborhood, I can go there in my sporty clothes.

I chose a comfortable black drop crotch pants and extravagant black and white sneakers. The sneakers are very comfortable and I have the feeling I can run miles in them. I love the contrast between the black leather and the white platform. 

The blouse features a barcode design on the sleeves. Very original.

I just don’t get the people who go to the gym in their old and worn out t-shirts and leggings. For me it is one more place to shine. I have a whole collection of drop crotch pants, meant for sport, and spend just as much time choosing my clothes for the gym as when I go to a club.

If the argument is that you sweat at the gym and that is why you shouldn’t bother – well, I sweat at the club as well, because I love dancing. And I drink, and I sometimes end up being more of a mess than when I go to the gym. So that is why I do put effort in my outlook, when I go to engage in some sport.

And since it’s the neighborhood gym, who knows, my neighborhood crush might be there. (wink). Thinking about that makes me smile and I speed up uphill.

Well, here I am at the mall again. Dressed to conquer the city and it pours cats and dogs outside. The sun is very elusive these days.

I was in great mood today, so I chose as today’s favorite the beige maxi dress. I imagined walking through the park and the dress billowing behind….It is gentle off-white light beige sleeveless dress, which spills abundantly and beautifully in, almost to the floor, but just above the feet, so that I can show off the extravagant open-toe wedges as well. The wedges are high platform ripple sole platforms with exquisite shape. The ripple soles make them look like skating shoes. So every time I put them on I feel like I am going to glide on. The hidden heels shape the feet in an exquisite way. And since just yesterday I had fresh pedicure, now it is the perfect moment to show it off.  This dress is the perfect garment for an extra long extraordinary necklace, so I am sporting a long black intricately woven leather macramé creation with wispy strings that extend way below my waist. This kind of accessory is beyond jewelry, it becomes more like a part of the dress.

 I look through the window and sigh. I am a vision of beige. Can’t imagine walking looking like this through the mud. Well, as you know, I like malls as well.

I am waiting for my squad of friends, we moved our regular meeting it the mall because of the unexpected rain. Can’t wait for them to see my outfit. We are all fashion obsessed and I am sure they will appreciate it.

 It is really a rare occurrence but I am the first to get there. I rummage through my bag for the book to read while I am waiting – oh, I didn’t mention the bag , did I – it is dark red diamond shaped soft and luxurious accessory. Large enough for all of the stuff I can’t leave the house without. The handles are just one of the angles of the bag so it is like a piece of modern art on my shoulder. It is soft so I can fold it over like a purse, because, believe it or not, today it is not full. It is a weekend after all. And the color is great contrast with the light beige of the dress.

I have so many things to share with the girls, it was a crazy week. And they still haven’t heard all the details about my crush. I also have the feeling that one of them is finally going to admit she is pregnant. A lot of information to exchange.

I know what I will do until they all arrive - I will have a look at the perfumes. I need a new smell.

Don’t you all have this friend that is always late? And when you think you have figured her out and you will get there quite late yourself so that you wouldn’t have to wait, she is even later than usual? But she doesn’t do it on purpose; she is so busy and so apologetic, that it is really difficult to get cross.

We have a date, me and one of my oldest friends – to chat and catch up and relax on a Friday evening. I am in the restaurant, and there she is calling and telling me to order on as she is running late. I laugh, because I made a kind of a bet with myself and I just won. But I can’t get angry with her, first, because she has a really good reason – she is stuck in traffic (fourth time this year), but also because she has a card up her sleeve – a party for later on that sounds like a deal. Apparently, we are going to some small club for a midnight literary reading in a place that just opened, like two days ago. It sounds strange, but she always takes me to these unbelievable venues where I meet interesting people and the whole thing is not something that I would stumble upon in my everyday life. The club has the potential to become the next hot spot, says an article I read online after the opening. And I was thinking on the way to here, that I really don’t want to get home early.

 Meanwhile I order on as I am famished and I just enjoy the good food and the start of the evening until she gets here.

I am so glad that tonight, when I was choosing my outfit, I went for the big guns. I chose my black, almost floor length dress. Its billowing drapes spill to the floor, while the tight black sleeves make the arms look graceful and thin in comparison. It looks very official, but it is also very comfortable and embodies freedom. It’s boho and classic at the same time. I combined it with the open toe wedges -  this gorgeous kaftan just begs for high heel shoes. And to add a demure splash of color, I went for the circular leather bag in burgundy. Yes, be jealous, I have several. And they are all great. Tonight the one in burgundy gets the spotlight.

So here I am. Dressed and ready to go, I am sipping my wine slowly and I am enjoying its creeping warmth. I feel beautiful and special and full of life and energy.

Today I am on a mission. I have to buy a present for a special someone. So I am going to the mall.

I will tell you a secret: most people don’t like malls, but I actually do. I always have. And it’s mainly because of the abundance of shops - for clothes and shoes and make-up…It is my favorite jungle.

And I will probably allow myself a small indulgence – some window shopping and may be even some real shopping, once I have accomplished my mission.

I know you want to hear what happened last time. Ok, here it goes: So I went to the concert in the park and while I was waiting among the trees, somebody tapped me on the shoulder. It was him!!! And the best part? He was smiling and handing me a beer. He doesn’t even know what I drink (good wine), but he went ahead and brought me one any way. We chatted for about 20 minutes until it was time for him to get on the stage. And his band was the best! I know I am biased but still!  At the end, after I cheered on enthusiastically and we chatted some more, he invited me to his birthday party. No, it is not today, it is two days from now. Today I am just getting his present. 

But I am so full of anticipation. And so happy. I love my life! I have had a string of great things happening recently. It must be celebrated. Every day has a new surprise. I have come to wake up and get out of bed impatiently, ready to dive in my day.

So today I dressed for a date with myself. I don’t need another reason to be pretty. I picked this wonderful blue explosion that screams of summer and skies and sun. It’s an ankle length extravagant sleeveless dress. Very simple and absolutely stunning at the same time. It makes me feel like princes. When I walk, I feel people’s eyes on me. It has magic in it. And I love to spread it around. Of course, it goes with wedges - not just any wedges, but the high platform, open toes one. And I opted for the circular oversize leather bag in darker shade of blue. I will surely need more space in the bag; I am going to the mall after all. And the bag is a special accessory as well. Huge and unique.

So back to the mission. A present. I have been thinking that a book is a good one. I have no idea what he reads, but I have decided to risk it and buy him something of what I like.  It is kind of intimate, but in a subtle way. And later we can discuss it. I can imagine the conversation about books, while he gazes deep into my eyes….Ok, back to reality. Recently I have been infatuated with this new author and I am almost sure that he probably doesn’t know him. So I will get him the latest book. Can’t wait t o see what he thinks. 

Going out on a Wednesday night. Oh, I know, I had a rough day.

But my friends invited me to a new venue, and it is very hard to resist. It’s a gallery slash bar slash party place. Tonight a friend of a friend is staging a play - very cozy and intimate and he has invited a very private crowd. After the play there is going to be a small soirée. But my eyes are on the “private crowd”. Since this guy has been on TV a lot, I expect that his close friends include a few celebrities.

So tonight I am going to be part of the “in-crowd”. Can’t wait, I am teenagerishly excited.

No wonder I put a lot of thought and deliberation in my outfit.

Recently I acquired this gorgeous halter-neck-jumpsuit-turning-into-a-dress garment and I am taking it out for a spin. It is all black, with a salacious strap that crosses the back between the shoulder blades and shows what I consider the sexiest and sometimes underrated part of woman’s body – the shoulders.

The crotch drops almost all the way to the ankles, which gives unbelievable drapes and freedom. Very sexy, original and oozing style like no other. I love the line that tightly follows the shape of body towards the waist and then blossoms like a black tulip towards the ankles. It has a touch of the Orient and looks great with high platform wedges. I chose the open toes ones, so that I can show off my freshly styled nails.

My friends are swinging by and picking me up in their car. I confess that I am kind of looking forward to  the “aahs” and “oohs”. 

Another busy day. But it’s sunny and warm! I spent all morning looking forward to the lunch break, praying it won’t rain.

I know, I know, you want to know who the driver was the other day. Ok, I will spill the beans. It was the lead singer of a band I accidentally heard in a small-off-the-main-street club about a month ago. The band was fantastic and the lead singer was gorgeous and totally riveting and sang like a male siren. I was obsessed with him for a while, and was very surprised that he still hasn’t had a real breakthrough.

And seeing him behind the wheel of that car (he is not making real money from music yet, so he drives, works as a janitor and a lot of other things, as I learned later), just made me forget about the big presentation and everything for the 20 minutes or so we spent cruising the city streets. We hit it off immediately. I asked him if he was in a band and mentioned I might have heard them once. He was so flattered. I took his number, under the pretext that I could hire them for an add or something similar one day. And immediately he invited me to a mini concert in the park, where they were going to sing 3-4 songs for some charity event. It conveniently happens in the park not far from my office, so I could saunter here for a late lunch today.  So here I am, waiting to see the concert. There aren’t many people, and they are quite scattered around so he will definitely see me. I think I will indulge myself and even get a beer. I have a reason to celebrate – the clients are happy and will definitely come back. I came straight from the airport, once the closing meeting finished and I saw them off.  

I do stand out here – especially in my stunning grey attire. After I had to ditch my cute ensemble the other day, I decided to use the drop crotch pants in another, sharper combination. The conservative CEO didn’t stick around, but I was leaning on the business aspect of my outfits just in case.
